How to prepare to Quit Smoking

These are just some examples of what your list may look like. Every situation is unique, so really make your list your own. When a situation arises where you want to have a cigarette, look at your list and take the action you have listed straight away, without thinking. Of course your mind is going to say “but I don’t want to go for a walk, it’s cool outside” or “I don’t feel like having a bath tonight” etc. But you make the agreement with yourself, and remember it isn’t about the big picture, it’s about every hour, every minute, just continuing to get further away from the time you last smoked.
